Milestone Benefits Agency, Inc. works with our clients throughout the year to establish and monitor the status of your employee benefits package. We can contract as either a broker (commission-based) or consultant (fee-for-service) basis with respect to the services we provide. Depending upon the client’s needs and desired outcomes, we will:
- Meet with the employer’s management team to determine the goal and objectives of the employee benefit package. This includes all benefits offered (medical, prescription, dental, vision, disability and life).
- Review employment contracts and union-negotiated agreements to ensure that current benefits adhere to contract specifications
- Provide feedback on the current benefit package(s), making recommendations to improve efficiency, access and affordability
- Assess the overall package from the perspective of the Continuum of Economic Lifestyle™ to ensure that all aspects of an employee’s economic needs are addressed
- Conduct a market analysis and bid process by preparing a Request for Proposal package
- Analyze plan performance data, including claims experience, high claimant activity, utilization patterns and benchmarking data
- Prepare summary reports of plan information periodically throughout the plan year and review the information on a regular basis
- Project and plan for upcoming renewal dates
Negotiate with insurance carriers at renewal to ensure a fair price for the product offerings |

Milestone Benefits Agency, Inc. will work with employers to develop unique, eye-catching communication materials developed with the goal of getting attention! Relaying information regarding open enrollment, benefit changes, customer service information or general plan updates can be produced throughout the plan year to keep employees informed and engaged. |

| It has been widely reported that many employers are still carrying ineligible dependents on their health insurance plan. While most insurance carriers audit dependent student eligibility on a regular basis, few, if any, audit the eligibility of other dependents such as spouses. In addition, many employees are unaware of their responsibility to notify the employer if a dependent no longer meets the eligibility requirements of their plan. Herein lies an opportunity for our clients to limit their liability by performing eligibility audits on a regular basis. MBA will work with the client to develop and distribute member eligibility forms displaying dependents that are enrolled on the plan. Employees must review the coverage status reports and verify that the covered dependents are in fact still eligible. Ineligible dependents are promptly removed from the plan, thereby reducing their risk. |

| Depending upon a client’s needs, MBA will design and host a client-specific benefit website and a resource for their employees. The websites are designed to be easy-to-use, one page sites that house all pertinent information relative to an employer’s benefit portfolio. Employees are given access to customer service numbers, certificate booklets, benefit plan summaries, claim forms, pharmacy lists, and lots of other helpful information to make navigating their benefits much easier. |

As more and more employers are recognizing the benefits of a healthy, happy workforce, efforts to coordinate wellness programming are becoming a priority in the strategic planning of the employee benefits package. MBA works with our clients to incorporate all levels of wellness, whether first introducing the concept to the company culture, or developing a full-blown wellness program. We will assist the client in assessing the needs of the organization through Health Risk Assessments (HRA) and claims utilization patterns, identifying “red flags” threatening employee and dependent health and healthcare costs. We then work to develop programs to reduce risk and improve health and productivity. We will help to plan wellness fairs, coordinating with a wide array of health-related vendors to participate in the fair.
